I make truly “one of a kind” turkey calls. Each friction call is “free hand” turned on a lathe. I started building calls in 2001 as just a hobby, I can’t tell you how many calls ended up in the trash trying to find the right pitch. I worked many hours over the next few years trying to find that perfect pitch in a call while maintaining the beauty of the wood and found that some wood, even though it was beautiful, didn’t have the right acoustics to mimic the true sound of the wild turkey.

I was building calls for friends and for the next two years I was perfecting my craft. Shortly thereafter, my friends encouraged me to make my calls available for others to enjoy. My friends would show the calls to their friends and soon I was overwhelmed with phone calls from fellow hunters who had to have one.

In the fall of 2003, Memory Maker Game Calls was born.
Since then I have been making “true “ one of a kind calls, turning each one on my lathes. No two calls are the same. Each turkey has its own sound, some call loud, some soft, some have clear notes and some are raspy.

I entered the National Wild Turkey Federations Grand National Hunting Call makers Contest in Columbus, Ohio in 2004 for the first time. I did not place but got rave reviews from hunters and call makers alike. In Feb. of 2005, again I entered the Grand National Call Makers contest for the second time, this year it was held in Nashville, Tenn... I placed 1st in the Glass and Striker Division, and also won the coveted D.D.Adams Award ,Outstanding Friction Call Maker, Best of Show 2005.

I use different materials for the calling surface such as slate, glass, aluminum, and crystal, whatever you prefer. I also use different kinds of wood. Call or e-mail me for availability. I will build a custom call to your specifications at your request. I hope that

There are only a limited number produced each year. Each call will be signed and dated by me at the buyer’s request.
